Fuchsia-Themed Fundraiser To Benefit Breast Cancer Initiatives 

Nashville, Tennessee (July 27, 2011) – Women Rock For The CureTM (WRFTC) will turn up the pink downtown during the 3rd Annual Pink Trash Ball, set for on Saturday, August 20, 2011. Helping to ease the transition from summer to fall, the hot pink-themed event will serve as a fundraiser for – and bring awareness to – breast cancer initiatives. Aerial (411 Broadway, Nashville, TN) will host this year’s celebration from 7:30pm – 11:30pm, featuring a DJ spinning music favorites from all decades, a complimentary array of light appetizers and, of course, the delicious signature WRFTC pink cocktails. A king and queen of the ball crowned before the night’s end and all partygoers are encouraged to arrive decked out in festive pink attire. Tickets are $10 and are available at ticketalternative.com.
All proceeds will be benefit the ongoing efforts of Women Rock For The CureTM to help support breast cancer research and community outreach programs, including the inaugural WRFTC Young Survivors Retreat. The event will be held September 23-25 at the Deer Run Retreat Center (3845 Perkins Road Thompson’s Station, TN) and will connect young women from across the country who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.

WRFTC also recently announced the Link The Town Pink campaign in support of the annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® The race will be held on October 29, 2011 at Maryland Farms in Brentwood, TN. For every $10 the WRFTC race team raises, a pink link will be added to a physical Chain of Hope that will be on display in October at a location to be announced this fall.
